Ulverstone Surf Life Saving Club patrols Buttons Beach, Ulverstone throughout the summer months, with the first patrol of the season being the first weekend in December, and the last being the final weekend in March. Lifesavers are patrolling the beach from 12 noon until 5pm each Saturday & Sunday and all public holidays (except Christmas Day, which has a shortened patrol)
Roving Patrols are also conducted to Ulverstone's West Beach & nearby Turner's Beach as part of the weekend patrols.
Life saving services are available for hire outside these hours by prior arrangement with Surf Life Saving Tasmania. This includes for school picnics, special beach events & other water-based activities where water safety is required. Contact Surf Life Saving Tasmania's State Office by (03) 6216 7800.
